Nay. Have had chances to see them for free but passed it by since free also means driving up and back, dealing with hassles of parking, etc. They don't move me enough. If others enjoy it, so be it. However, I will go when they play Cliff's backyard and see if I can coax him out of the house.

I'd go to that too!

When Jerry did something away from the band it was always something different for him, and musically refreshing. The wierd stuff with Howard Wales, the more basic blues stuff with Merl and Kahn. Old and in the Way. All departures to be sure from the Dead scene.
I've never understood why Lesh and Weir haven't wanted that for themselves as well. Phil can talk about how they're 'exploring' and 'reinterpreting' the Dead canon, and by doing so distance himself from the idea that they're a cover band, but I don't hear it. And I don't feel it.
